COMFORTING THOSE IN NEED
ONE BED AT A TIME

This is the Year of Action

WorldBed has had a wonderful trip since its inception in 2010, which began our journey of providing beds to those in need for the victims of the horrific earthquake in Haiti. Since then, WorldBed has been called upon by the top disaster relief organizations for beds for world disaster and need. Only with the help of our supporters could WorldBed accomplish what we have over the past two years. We are sincerely grateful for those who believe in our mission and work. WorldBed appreciates everyone who has continued to support our efforts and as we move forward into our new programs.

Our goal for 2012 is to continue our disaster relief efforts and implement sustainable programs. World Vision, the world's largest NGO, is partnering with WorldBed to help provide beds in Africa, which will be an ongoing program. Our local US programs will be working with homeless shelters to provide a place to sleep with our WorldBeds. Please take the time to find out more details of our projects on our site.

By donating to the WorldBed relief, you won't affect just one life; you'll affect the entire world. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website.

"We remain highly committed to the WorldBed program, and in supporting this important cause. "World Bed's provide basic comfort meeting fundamental human needs in the most difficult of circumstances."
Sean Lawrence, Non-Profit Partner Manager
Giving Children Hope

"From Joplin to Japan the WorldBed has proven to be one of the greatest resources that Giving Children Hope provides to those affected by disasters. WorldBed recipients are always grateful for that little bit of comfort in the midst of tragedy. Their compact packaging and quality construction have provided us the opportunity to deliver WorldBeds to people sleeping in tents, rubble and shelter floors."
Yvane Toussaint, age 28, 3 children:
"My children and I were inside when it (the earthquake) happened, but on one was badly hurt. Only one of my children's back was a little bit hurt when something fell. We are now living in the bushes. We have no shelter, no tent, just a cloth hanging over us. There's a wall that fell down, and I took some blocks from it and put them inside my shelter, and I put cardboard on it and a blanket, and I slept on that. It wasn't comfortable, but I had no choice. I'm very happy to have this mattress, its very good quality, and I had nothing before. I think I'll definitely sleep well tonight."
Pascale Raveloson, Distributions Coordinator:
"I think this model is more resistant to moisture due to the plasic on the back, and more comfortable. Because of the protection layer, even when it gets wet, that doesn't get into the interior. To fold it, there are cords that tie, and it's very easy to carry. The women receiving them are much more satisfied, because they're very easy to carry and very easy to clean."
Sulette Desstin, age 30, 3 children:
Before, I slept on the ground on cardboard boxes, and then I put a blanket on top of the boxes. I'm very happy that Worldbed has given me a bed like this."
